Process: Since it is mentioned that magnets are attracted to grey solids in the water, then the solids are magnetic. Hence, by using a magnet, the grey solids will be removed easily. Tie a magnet to a string and lower it into the water. The grey solids will be attracted and can be removed easily. However, for further precautions, wrap a plastic around the magnet because a magnet may not be always clean and may dirty the water. Hence, by using a plastic to wrap around the magnet, this will reduce the chances of the magnet dirtying the DULL water.
